Corrections Policy

What happens when we get something wrong, and how to tell us about it.

SoftwareMarketplace.Net is committed to factual accuracy. When we make a factual error in a published article, we correct it visibly and promptly. This policy describes the process.

Reader-reported corrections

To report a factual error, email corrections@softwaremarketplace.net with the article URL, the specific passage in question, and the source that contradicts our claim. We aim to acknowledge correction requests within two business days.

How we correct

Significant factual corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the correction date and a brief description of what was changed. Minor edits — typos, clarifications that do not change meaning — are made silently. Substantive rewrites that update an article for a new product version are surfaced as an "Updated" date in the byline.

Removal requests

We do not unpublish articles for commercial convenience. We will consider unpublishing or anonymizing in limited circumstances: confirmed defamation, doxing, or material that violates an individual's privacy in a way that cannot be addressed through correction.
